For two teams tied in the standings, battling for the final playoff spot in the Western Major Baseball League East Division, the Weyburn Beavers and Yorkton Cardinals expected a close fought affair on Wednesday night.
In the midst of a ten game losing streak, Yorkton Cardinals pitcher Jeff Chase was 0-1 in two starts despite going 14 scoreless innings.
Monday night at Jubilee Park, his teammates finally provided support.
